Our God Specializes in Sanctification

Philippians 1:6 (New Living Translation)
6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

As we witness for Jesus Christ sometimes we will hear people respond to the Gospel and say, " I want to get saved right now, but I don't want to be a hypocrite." That's a great sounding argument but it has no firm foundation to stand on. Where there is true conversion there is true consolation and confirmation. God promises us that in the Scripture above.
Once we repent, believe, and receive Christ as Savior --God comes and lives in us. He then begins His work of sanctifying us and conforming us to the image of Christ through His Spirit. The only thing we are responsible for where sanctification is concerned is yielding to God's work in us and for us. Don't let that argument stop you when it comes up as you ask him/her if they would like to make a decision for Jesus, just encourage them and give them the Word. (-:

Evangelism Memory Verse John 8:24

John 8:24 (King James Version)

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.

John 8:24 (Amplified Bible)

That is why I told you that you will die in (under the curse of) your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He [Whom I claim to be--if you do not adhere to, trust in, and rely on Me], you will die in your sins

John 8:24 (New Living Translation)

That is why I said that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I Am who I claim to be,[a] you will die in your sins.”

No Credit Accepted

Ephesians 2:6-8 (New Living Translation)

6 For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. 8 God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

As I read and reread that holy Scipture it just continues to keep me balanced and secure in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Truly it takes all pressure for performance off of us doesn't it?!?! Well is should, because it let's us know that no amount of good works, no amount of sacrifices, church tithes paid, homeless fed, verses memorized, or accolades from our Pastors, peers or mentors counts toward our Salvation. Sometimes saints get to a certain place of obedience in their walk with Christ that they try to pay God back. Feeling good about themselves and doing really well dying to the world and sin they sometimes fall victim to the idea of "I'm good now and I can take it from here." No matter how victoriously obedient we may become in this life by way of God's Word, Spirit, and grace, the fact remains that Jesus paid it all and there is no need to "work" for what Jesus already provided. There is only One who will be praised in Heaven for giving up His life for ours---Jesus The Lamb of God. So rest in that and rejoice when you share it! That's truly Good News!

Evangelism Memory Verse Hebrews 2:3

Hebrews 2:3 (Amplified Bible)

How shall we escape [appropriate retribution] if we neglect and refuse to pay attention to such a great salvation [as is now offered to us, letting it drift past us forever]? For it was declared at first by the Lord [Himself], and it was confirmed to us and proved to be real and genuine by those who personally heard [Him speak].

Hebrews 2:3 (New Living Translation)

So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard Him speak?

Hebrews 2:3 (King James Version)

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him;
