Recognizing the Divine in YOU

Mark 6:53-56
53 When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret and anchored there. 54 And when they came out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, 55 ran through that whole surrounding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was. 56 Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.

The passage above is long, but worth the time to memorize and meditate on. I believe if you let it work IN you-- it will change the way you look at youself, your faith, your Pastors, and your responsibility as a Christian.

Let's consider that these villagers recognized Jesus, and then brought those that needed deliverance, help, healing etc... to Him. It is said that they begged Him just to be able to touch the hem of His garment. So many times we think if so and so would just come to church I know that they would get Saved or even healed!!! Surely they would recognize God and as the Word is being preached, the Holy Ghost would convict them and so when the altar call is made---they will get Saved, healed etc... What I want to challenge you to see today is as a Christian-- God now lives INSIDE of you, and wherever you go--HE GOES!!!!! The problem is sometimes we look at those called to five fold ministry as the "special ones." They are the only ones who can lead people to Christ or lay hands on folk, but that is NOT true. If you are truly born again --the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now resides on the inside of you! The same works that Jesus did you CAN do too. Sometimes we recognize Jesus in everybody else, but we fail sometimes to recognize Him IN us. As many as touched Him were made whole. Don't you want wholeness for those around you? I know I do! Recognize WHO lives in you and others will recognize Him, have faith, and receive from Him too (-:

Don't Get Twisted

No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who has chosen him to be a soldier. 2 Timothy 2:4

In this life - some things come at us hard and fast. Situations arise all around us at times, and it seems we are having to constantly put fires out. THIS is life on a fallen planet as a saint or sinner BUT Christ has made us MORE than conquerors!!! We have to keep moving in prayer, fasting, fellowship, and devotional time. The hardest target to hit is a moving one! Don't get wrapped up or twisted up in the affairs of this life, THAT will make you an easy target! No! WE have been called into the greatest kingdom that ever existed, and WE are called to fight the good fight of faith! When you lead someone to Christ this week, let them know they are in the LORD'S Army now,and WE fight by faith that we may please Him.

Have a GREAT week ahead and remember YOU have been chosen>>>FIGHT!!!

Who Gave YOU the Right....?

Blessed are those that do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates of the city. Revelation 22:14

As this Scripture has rolled around in me this week, I thought about our "rights." Currently, we have the right to bear arms, to speak freely, and to be free. I thank God for all these rights as a citizen of these great United States. Now, through the blood of the Lamb, we have also been given rights in God's kingdom as well. We have the right to pray, heal the sick, cast out demons, and access God's throne in the name of Jesus. Here though is one similarity of rights in both kingdoms--we have the right to obey or disobey. Depending on what we chose to DO, we will either experience life or death. Blessings or curses. As you witness/disciple this week, let them know that their choice to accept Christ has given them many rights. Let them know that as they DO His commandments-- they will eat eternal fruit, and receive a warm welcome through the gates of the city of the Holy One. Who has given us the right to life on earth and life in Heaven? God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ! Enjoy them all!!! (-:

The Original Thirst Quencher

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 7:2,37-39

It seems no matter who we have in our lives and no matter how many toys we possess we still end up thirsty. We can marry the man of our dreams, have well mannered kids, the best job, house, car, friends, etc...you get the picture, yet at the end of the day, we are thirsty. Why? Because we are wired to be watered by our Creator. Only God satisfies the thirsty, battle weary, pilgrim passing through soul.  Since God and Jesus are on the throne-- the Comforter, the Holy Ghost who is a PERSON, and not an it, was sent. Jesus is all about empowering His followers- He didn't say out My belly shall flow for you- the rivers of living water. He said instead that He's going to give Him to us. As you share Christ and or disciple this week, don't forget to tell them about the Holy Ghost. They will NEED Him as they continue on this journey in a dry, and parched land.

The Flower Fades

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
Isaiah 40:8

The flower fades. There are many things in this world that fade right? Hair color, jeans, paint, etc... Sometimes jobs fade away and without any solid work put into them, relationships can fade away. If you do not pay your bills on time, your credit will fade away too! My point? Whether things are created by God or created by man all things have the ability to fade away; because there is nothing permanent on this earth. Businesses come and go, people come and go, things come and go, but there is one person--Jesus Christ the WORD made flesh that will never fade away. As you witness and disciple this coming up week, let them know that in these times where people's values are fading away, economic and personal security in systems are fading away; they can stand on Jesus and trust in His Word that will abide forever.

Let God Urge Men to Christ Through YOU!
2 Corinthians 5:20
