Our God Specializes in Sanctification

Philippians 1:6 (New Living Translation)
6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

As we witness for Jesus Christ sometimes we will hear people respond to the Gospel and say, " I want to get saved right now, but I don't want to be a hypocrite." That's a great sounding argument but it has no firm foundation to stand on. Where there is true conversion there is true consolation and confirmation. God promises us that in the Scripture above.
Once we repent, believe, and receive Christ as Savior --God comes and lives in us. He then begins His work of sanctifying us and conforming us to the image of Christ through His Spirit. The only thing we are responsible for where sanctification is concerned is yielding to God's work in us and for us. Don't let that argument stop you when it comes up as you ask him/her if they would like to make a decision for Jesus, just encourage them and give them the Word. (-:

Evangelism Memory Verse John 8:24

John 8:24 (King James Version)

I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.

John 8:24 (Amplified Bible)

That is why I told you that you will die in (under the curse of) your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He [Whom I claim to be--if you do not adhere to, trust in, and rely on Me], you will die in your sins

John 8:24 (New Living Translation)

That is why I said that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I Am who I claim to be,[a] you will die in your sins.”

No Credit Accepted

Ephesians 2:6-8 (New Living Translation)

6 For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. 8 God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.

As I read and reread that holy Scipture it just continues to keep me balanced and secure in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Truly it takes all pressure for performance off of us doesn't it?!?! Well is should, because it let's us know that no amount of good works, no amount of sacrifices, church tithes paid, homeless fed, verses memorized, or accolades from our Pastors, peers or mentors counts toward our Salvation. Sometimes saints get to a certain place of obedience in their walk with Christ that they try to pay God back. Feeling good about themselves and doing really well dying to the world and sin they sometimes fall victim to the idea of "I'm good now and I can take it from here." No matter how victoriously obedient we may become in this life by way of God's Word, Spirit, and grace, the fact remains that Jesus paid it all and there is no need to "work" for what Jesus already provided. There is only One who will be praised in Heaven for giving up His life for ours---Jesus The Lamb of God. So rest in that and rejoice when you share it! That's truly Good News!

Evangelism Memory Verse Hebrews 2:3

Hebrews 2:3 (Amplified Bible)

How shall we escape [appropriate retribution] if we neglect and refuse to pay attention to such a great salvation [as is now offered to us, letting it drift past us forever]? For it was declared at first by the Lord [Himself], and it was confirmed to us and proved to be real and genuine by those who personally heard [Him speak].

Hebrews 2:3 (New Living Translation)

So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard Him speak?

Hebrews 2:3 (King James Version)

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him;

Boast About Christ

Galatians 6:14 (New Living Translation)

As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died.

I don't know about you but this world is NOT my home. I love and am thankful for my family and the wonderful people and things that God has blessed me with but like the verse above my interest in this world has been crucified. I don't care about things or affluence.I only care about pleasing God and living for Him. I love the second part of that verse, the world's interest in me has also died. Praise God for that!! We should rejoice when the world looks on us as useless or as fools! They looked at Christ and everybody that He has ever redeemed in the same light. God however sees us as kings and priests! I want to encourage you to find out more about the lifestyles of the kings and priests of old. Why? For balance sake. We live in a world and sadly even among other Believers where there is a constant pressure to live and dress the part of being a king and priest. Please don't fall victim to that lie. Some of us may have been predestined to live and dress like kings or priests and some of us may not, but the fact remains the same you and I are who we are in Christ regardless of our educational, financial, or social background. As we grow more and more in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, who we really are in Him, and embrace the fact that we have been crucified in Christ and to the world we will be less prone to boasting about who we are and what we have. We will begin to boast more and more about the cross of Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Evangelism Memory Verse I Thessalonians 5:9

1 Thessalonians 5:9 (King James Version)

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Thessalonians 5:9 (Amplified Bible)

For God has not appointed us to [incur His] wrath [He did not select us to condemn us], but [that we might] obtain [His] salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)

1 Thessalonians 5:9 (American Standard Version)

For God appointed us not into wrath, but unto the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

What or Who Are You Here For?

Matthew 6:24-26
24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Do any of us really believe that Scripture? I mean do we really believe that God has specific plans to take care of us, or do we kind of believe that while we seek out more levels or streams of income? I'am amazed at how some of us have bought into the lie called, "The American Dream or Slice of Life" or whatever you want to call it. God NEVER promised us that dream. He said I will supply all your needs and I will never leave you nor forsake you. He never told us to work ourselves to death for bigger or better, He said-"Be content with such things as you have." Hebrews 13:5

I wonder how many people would or could take just one paycheck or half a paycheck and sow it in an overseas ministry where they can truly make a dolla holla! Or take a paycheck and give it to a relative, neighbor, or church member to help them through these tough times. Sadly while many are trying to obtain the American Dream and are digging themselves deeper into debt, many are dying without Christ and many people are going without necessities, while we cry about not being able to go to the Outback Steakhouse or torn up about not being able to wear that designer this or that! WOW! Where are we going as a church?!? What and where are OUR priorities?

LIFE is more than what you are going to wear or food you are going to eat. Some of us need to just sit down and ask ourselves who and what are we here for??? Is to be about our Fathers' business or our own business??? If this world is not our home than why do we try so hard to make it our home? Ask yourself what am I giving to spread the Gospel ABOVE my tithes and offerings? If you really want to crucify your flesh dig in your wallet and help overseas. There are so many reputable ministries over there that are doing a tremendous work for the LORD that you could sow into. For most that I know of personally it's not about bigger and better it's about Jesus Christ and taking care of one another. I pray we all advance to the point of not just singing and talking about the church in Acts, but truly being the church in Acts. Time is so short people of God, our lives are NOT own and we need to be even more serious about investing in souls and not so much in those things that will truly perish.

Evangelism Memory Verse Mark 10:18

Greetings Ambassadors! I pray you are tracking with me and memorizing God's Word especially those that want God to use you more. Having His Word hid in our heart and studying to show ourselves approved by God are ways that He has advanced me so keep up the great work. Lets go!!!!

Mark 10:18 (New King James Version)

So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

Return O Wanderer

Return, O wanderer, now return,
And seek thy Father's face;
Those new desires which in thee burn
Were kindled by His grace

Return, O wanderer, now return,
And wipe the falling tear:
Thy Father calls,- no longer mourn;
Tis love invites thee near.
