Faith for YOUR Greatest New Year

By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions,  quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.  Women received their loved ones back again from death.
But others were tortured, refusing to turn from God in order to be set free. They placed their hope in a better life after the resurrection. Some were jeered at, and their backs were cut open with whips. Others were chained in prisons.  Some died by stoning, some were sawed in half, and others were killed with the sword. Some went about wearing skins of sheep and goats, destitute and oppressed and mistreated. They were too good for this world, wandering over deserts and mountains, hiding in caves and holes in the ground. All these people earned a good reputation because of their faith, yet none of them received all that God had promised.  For God had something better in mind for us, so that they would not reach perfection without us. Hebrews 11:33-40

We believe that 2013 is going to be an historical year in the lives of many CHRISTians. CHRISTmas Prayer for YOU

Heavenly Father, we pray that as we near the appointed day, December 25th in which we celebrate Your Son's birth, that You would bless us with a stronger sense of Your presence. We pray for all those who will be traveling, that they would make it safely. We pray that even today, You would touch church family, friends, and neighbors to reach out to those-- who do not have anyone to spend this special day with. More than anything Father, we pray that Your love in us, will not only abound in us, but also attract the lost, the hurting, and the broken. May Your love in us manifest so strongly, that they will healed and transformed. We pray that all souls will rejoice in Your love gift today.  We pray that people will spend money within their means, and not feel any guilty if they cannot buy for everyone. We pray your peace over everyone that is reading this right now, and ask YOU to touch them where they need to be touched. We pray for our Pastors, President, and Leadership  asking you to protect, prosper, and empower them to Your glory. Finally Father, we thank You for sending Your precious Son to the Earth. Truly, Jesus is the greatest gift ever given. Amen.

Planning for Advancing

And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. Habakkuk 2:2

Its December already! My, how this year flew by! We hope you were journaling and writing down all those God words and instructions from the LORD! For those of us who are serious about doing more than just praying, reading, fasting, and attending church service >>>this post is for YOU!!!
We have come to understand that we were born for such a time as this! We understand that Jesus did not just save us from something but TO something! We realize that advancing the Kingdom is going to require work, resources, and solid planning. So, this post is to encourage you to write an Action Plan for 2013!!! What has God said? Is it for now or later? How do I intend to help advance the Kingdom? What ministries will I invest my time and money into? What mission minded organizations will I help fund. What tracts will I buy, to put in Christmas bags for the kids in my neighborhood this year or next year? What kind of outreaches will I have for my neighbors? What is my outreach budget? These are all things that we need to seriously consider if we are serious about advancing the Kingdom. Enjoy this Holyday season, but start writing and watch God partner with you>>>to advance His Kingdom through YOU!!!!

Inviting People To Church or Jesus First?

For a Child is born to us, a Son is given to us. The government will rest on His shoulders. And He will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Jesus was born,  that we may be born again! Can I tell you that inviting people to church is not witnessing to them. You are asking them to come to a building, for a church service, where they will hear the Gospel presented. Here is my question. What if they don't make it to church? What if they decide not to go or get distracted or even die that evening? You had a marked moment in time with them...one that you may never get again and all you did was invite them to church. Now, for clarity's sake, we are not saying don't invite people to church but invite them to Jesus first!!! There are no free passes for those who attend church, only for those in relationship with Jesus Christ will receive eternal life.  Maybe you are shy. Maybe you are not confident. Well, we are going to pray for you. We touch and agree right now,  that TODAY you will receive the boldness you need to share the Good News and make disciples in Jesus name! It is so! In the coming year we will begin to post recordings called "Everything Evangelism." You will hear actual evangelism stories, receive teachings and tips, and just be encouraged, as you commit to advancing the Kingdom! So go, go; Go tell it on the mountains, over the hills, and everywhere, go tell it on the mountains, that Jesus Christ is born.

We love you and may YOU sow

Black Friday for the Poor

They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.Psalm 112:9
And their off >>>>>> not the horses, but the shoppers!!! Everybody trying to get those presents 50 - 70% off, I get it! I believe God wants us to enjoy what we worked hard for all this year, and I believe that God would want us to be good stewards of His money during this season, but I also believe God wants us to really think about HOW MUCH we really NEED  to have a good Holyday Season. Once you have figured that out,  can we ask you to consider the poor and the needy too?! We're talking about putting more than $1.00 in the can, for the Salvation Army. We're talking about  spending some money to help people LIVE. How can I do that??? We're glad you asked! There is a great organization called Gospel for Asia and they have a thriving, reputable, ministry where you can buy some chickens for as little as $11.00 that will eventually reproduce and help a family thrive. Have a little more to spend? How about buying a pair of pigs for $65.00, or some goats, for $140.00. Just check out "gfa.org"  and please, please help these families enjoy a Black Friday that they will never forget, and neither will your Father in Heaven! =)

Seize the Season and Give

God so loved the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him, will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

If you are a CHRISTian, the one thing you KNOW about God is that He is a giver. He gives us freely ALL things to enjoy! He gave us this planet to rule on, He gives us the power to get wealth, He camps His angels around us for our protection. He is a giver. As we get ready to enter and enjoy the Holyday Season and Thanksgiving, lets not only remember that God is a giver but lets also posture ourselves to give. May we seek and seize opportunities, to pray for people and compel them to Christ.May we with the wisdom of the Spirit,  invite someone into our home that may not have a place to live, or people to spend this special season with. May we open our wallets just a little wider, and bless the orphans and the widows. May we buy some presents for those who cannot, and or buy a pair of goats for a family overseas that will help them be self sustaining (more on that soon!). Make this Holyday Season count, make it BIG for someone else in the name of Jesus. Its time to be known as GIVERS just like our Daddy, will you take the time to pray and plan just how you and your family will IMPACT others for Jesus this Holyday Season! WE are and we invite you to do the same.

We love you and may YOU sow

Cleansed and Pardoned

Jeremiah 33:8
And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity whereby they have sinned against Me; and I will pardon all their iniquities whereby they have sinned and whereby they have transgressed against Me.

It's always beneficial to be aware that when we sin, we really do sin against God. Being and staying aware of this fact will help assist in being ever mindful of our actions. This truth will also cultivate a healthy fear of God.
Fear and reverence is such a critical part of our walk with God. As I grow in my relationship with the Father, I have begun to deeply consider more my own attitude towards sin. I don't want to sin against God. I have found myself moving slower in my actions and reactions. I love the Father SO much and I never want to hurt Him purposely. The truth is I do sin, and when I do I "feel" horrible. I learn from it, think about how to avoid it again, and God cleanses me when I come to Him. While it is true we have to repent to come into the Kingdom, we also have to repent to stay in the Kingdom. As you disciple others, be truthful about your struggles, and teach them how you overcome. Too many people get Saved thinking that all the struggles in the flesh are over, and so they get deeply disappointed when they stumble. Tell them like God tells us, My little children I'm writing to you, that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case with the Father , Jesus Christ who is truly righteous.

We love you and may YOU sow
and or reap a great HARVEST this week!

God Deals With Our Sins, He Does Not Deny Them

He will again have compassion on us; He will tread our iniquities under foot. Yes, You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. Micah 7:19

God is a God of compassion and He much prefers to show us mercy than to show us His wrath. This Scripture shows us just how compassionate God is. He is not waiting to condemn us, nor is He wanting to condemn us. He lets us come to Him and tell Him what He already knows...then he turns around and deals with it for us. This Scripture says that God will tread our sins under His feet. I think about how when you see a nasty bug and you go to kill that critter. You stomp it under your feet, and then you move on. God moves on with us.... He forgives us, He teaches us how to do better, He disciplines us and we move on. As you share Jesus and disciple, let them know God is going to tread on their sins, and cast it far away from Him and them.

We love you and may you sow and or reap a great HARVEST this week.

Encouraged to Evangelize the Whosoevers!

For "Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved."
Romans 10:13

Just stop and look real good at that picture and then say that Scripture again. See the connection??? Oh that picture thrills my soul because it's describing what a section of our population looks like and gravitates towards! The Good News is that Jesus came for EVERYBODY! He did not come just for this part of society or that part--NO! He came for ALL OF US!!!! Why? Because SIN affects all of us! Some people get intimidated by the way people "look"on the outside and guess what--that is the enemy's purpose! You see a young man or woman all tatted up and your flesh may want you to cross the street to avoid them OR they may just look plain scary! LOL!! I understand and so does God, but guess what? That fact does not release us from our assignment! We can't be SO Heavenly minded, that we are no Earthly good. No condemnation--but we have to be so careful NOT focus on the exterior, instead of the interior...the precious spirit of man. Let your concern for their possible eternal damnation, encourage you more than their outward appearance discourages you!

We love you, and may you sow and or reap a great Harvest this week!

Evangelism Is ALL About God's POWER

But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth. Acts 1:8

All around us people are enslaved to sin, hurting, and dying. While we may be well versed and rehearsed-- we CANNOT witness in our own strength and mental capability alone! NO we NEEEEED the Holy Spirit's infilling. The Holy Spirit knows ALL THINGS! When we go out- He already knows who's going to cross our path, and how much time they have left on the Earth!!! We cannot rely on the flesh to lead us, we need GOD to lead us. We cannot just gravitate toward those that "look" down and out on the outside, because there are plenty of well dressed folk on the outside, who are dying a slow death INSIDE. What I'm trying to say here, is that, don't think because someone "looks" like they are alright, that they ARE alright. When you go out, go out guided and filled with God's Spirit, and just go, go, GO! Go to anyone and every one you can! African, European, Latino, Asian, male, female, old, young, rich or poor. Death comes to all--so we must GO to all, in the power of the Holy Spirit!!!!

We love you and may you plant and or reap a great HARVEST this week!

Search and Rescue

For the Son of Man has come to seek and save the lost. Luke 19:10

God's whole purpose for sending Jesus, and putting Him on the cross for our sins, and raising Him from the dead, was so Jesus could accomplish God's, "Search and Rescue Mission." Mankind has turned each one to his own ways not understanding the eternal consequences. No one on this planet enjoys living without a "good" parents' presence in their lives. No one enjoys suffering, and no one enjoys prolonged pain! Yet, before Christ, we lived like there was NO tomorrow, just today. Careless and wreckless in our sin, with no thought of the future or life after death. God in His goodness sent Jesus to rescue us from a Fatherless life on Earth, and eternally. Now, it is true, God created Hell for the devil and His angels, but those that reject God's salvation WILL go there too. Saints of God, every time we share Jesus-- we are attempting a "Search and Rescue Mission." Some will come with us, others will fight the Truth we represent, but it's ok. We just need to DO our part.

We love you and may you plant and reap a GREAT harvest this weekend!

The HOW About Jesus

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. Romans 13:14

This is a powerful Scripture and a most helpful and beneficial one for us all. With people losing jobs, houses, money etc...it is very comforting. Why? Because it gives us a key to avoid gratifying the flesh, and that is putting on Jesus Christ. Now, before we can put ON Jesus we have to not only KNOW Jesus, but the HOW-- about Jesus! As temptation to gratify our flesh grows with every new opportunity to "do it our way" or "help God out" we have to remember how Jesus did it when He walked the earth. He totally depended on the Father. He said I do what I see my Father do. WOW!!!! Just stop and think about that for a minute. Jesus did not give in to His flesh when things got tight or challenging. He prayed, and trusted His Father to provide whatever it was that He or His followers needed. Put on the LORD Jesus Christ. Teach those new babes the HOW about Jesus, and neither you or them will be over run by fleshly desires. We love you all and have a great weekend!!!

Freed to Follow & Freed to Fish

Jesus said to them, "Come, follow Me! I will teach you how to catch people instead of fish." At once they left their nets and followed Him. Matthew 4:19-20

As I meditated on this Scripture this week, I kept coming back to this question,"Is it safe then to believe that those who truly follow Jesus -- will truly fish for men?!" I get nothing but a resounding YES in my spirit! When Jesus came out of the desert, the first statement He made was for us all to REPENT! So, it only makes sense that those that follow Him, operate LIKE Him. Notice Jesus didn't say, "Follow Me! I will make you rich, successful, or the next gold medalist!" While there is NOTHING wrong with these things, Jesus number one mission on Earth and in the lives of men is to bring them to the Father through Him. It is our responsibility as FREE FOLLOWERS to "GO FISHING!" It matters not what your fish look like and it matters not if after they have been caught by the Gospel, they decide to jump back into the world's ocean of sin. NOT our job to detain the fish against their will.... our job is to catch their attention with the Word and give them an opportunity to stay in the boat!! WE have been called to fish for men --saints. Just like a school of fish, the lost are going through life aimlessly, just doing what they do. We are the King's fishermen and women---CAST your nets, give them Jesus, and leave the results to God! Have a great weekend! We love you (-:

Are You Awaiting God's Wrath or His Mercy?

For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him.  I Thessalonians 5.9-10

There are many things I'm thankful for. The greatest thing I'm thankful for is salvation. Oh I have had money, cars, jewelry, popularity, and all that jazz, but to KNOW that here on this turbulent planet and in the life to come...God's wrath does not await me. Oh there are times when bad things happen and a little voice whispers--God hates you or God is mad at you. My response to those voices--WHY should He be? The biggest mistake we can make as Followers of Christ is to think that our past or current adversity is a reflection of how God feels about us. Now we know there are times of chastening, and we KNOW when those whoopings are taking place don't we!LOL!! But that is just the Father's love-- NOT His wrath.
So, to those that don't know Jesus, let them know that GOD wants to show them mercy, and not His wrath. While it is true that God is angry with the wicked ever day, His love sent Jesus to the cross--for them...for us. God desires all of us to be with Him forever, and Jesus life, death, and resurrection made that possible. Have a safe holiday weekend, and share Jesus while you are enjoying your barbeque! We love you (-:

WELL Watered in the Time of Drought

Isaiah 58:11

The LORD will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.

It is being reported that we in the US, are in the worst drought that has taken place for a long time. Even the great Mississippi River is needing assistance from the Army Corps of Engineers, so ships containing billions of dollars of precious cargo, can pass through the "Muddy Mississippi." As CHRISTians God is our help and He is willing, able, and faithful enough to DO just what our memory verse says. GOD will guide, satisfy, and strengthen us. In the middle of a "sun scorched land" GOD promises that we will BE like well watered gardens and a spring that never fails. As we witness and disciple people in Christ, lets assure them that their Heavenly Father has resources that will NEVER run out or dry up. Whether He provides , Lobster, Ramen noodles, or flesh from ravens by a brook...God takes care of His children!!! Even in this drought, we will thrive spiritually and physically because GOD is with us, and HE is providing everything we need!
Have a great weekend and tell somebody --- about Jesus. (-:

BE! So Others Can Become

John 5:19

So Jesus explained, "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.

Above is picture of a father and son, both joined the military and they even work together. I'm thinking that the son has always looked up to and admired his dad. Maybe from his youth, the son watched in admiration as his father supported their family and defended this country. Maybe the son watched or was aware of his father getting up early in the morning, cleaning his shoes, ironing his uniform, and preparing for work. I can just imagine this son watching his father help out strangers, return from war, and speak respectfully of and to others as well. NOW he has followed in his father's footsteps and they are doing a great work together!

Jesus did what He saw the Father do and obviously He saw the Father DO some pretty awesome things. Jesus then turned around and DID those same things. As we lead and disciple others, we MUST remember that they are watching us. Whatever we approve of they just might do the same. Whatever type of music, movies, clothing, lifestyle choices we make---they perhaps will eventually try to emulate us, as we gain more and more influence with them, because of the power and love of God in our lives. So, we have a great responsibility to copy Christ for us and for others. The world has seen enough worldliness and carnality in the church. It's time to show them the Father in all His holiness, glory, and love. It is truly time for us to be like our Father so others can become like Him too!

We love you and have a great weekend! (-:

Witnessing God's WAY

Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2

Hello Everybody! I'm really excited about this post because God is transforming those of us who WILL NOT copy or conform to the behaviors and customs of this world. There is a holy indignation arising among God's people, those who will not just accept the kings meat and drink. We are sold out to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, and the stench of this world's ways we refuse to wear as our fragrance of choice. We choose the fragrance and ways of our King Jesus. We have drawn a line in the sand and we refuse to give the devil any place in our lives and ministries. We will not borrow from the enemy to make an impact for God. In the words of Apostle Blair, " God has His own stuff." What that means is when you and I witness and disciple others we don't have to dip into the devil's bag to make a point for God. The resources of God are unlimited and all we have to do is go to Him and let Him give us what we need to win and disciple others IN the Spirit and not IN the flesh. Flesh will corrode and can be corrupted but God is a Spirit and His Spirit is holy and eternal. As you witness use Godly examples, as you use illustrations, use what the Spirit gives you and leave the theatrics and enetrtainment to the world. I'm not saying we cannot be creative, I'm saying when we do it Jesus' way we will always get Jesus' results. God has been saving people for thousands of years without the devil's help, stick with God in all that you do for Him and you will never go wrong. (-:

Another Perspective

Matthew 4:4 Jesus answered, "Scripture says, 'A person cannot live on bread alone but on every word that God speaks.'" I have always embraced this Scripture and seen the extreme value of God's Word in my life. But while on vacation in Detroit, a homeless man in a wheel chair gave me yet another perspective regarding God's Word. As my brother and I were driving through the city, we noticed this older gentleman begging on the street corner. It was a record setting day for heat, and our hearts went out to him. As we sat at the light, I looked for some money to give him, but my brother just opened his wallet- grabbed a large bill and just before he jumped out of the car, I gave him a pocket Bible to give the man. The man's face just lit up then, and then he did something that I did not expect. As we drove by he waved that little Bible in the air, and smiled so hard that I just felt his joy. It wasn't the money that took him there it was God's Word. Here a man begging in 102 temperatures was rejoicing over the Word! I'm thankful that I brought these extra Bibles with me....God knew. As you witness or lend a helping hand remember it's God's Word that saves, transforms, and blesses. Have as much in you and on you as possible. (-:

JESUS Rules Today and YOU Do Too!!!

Colossians 2:8-10

8 See to it that nobody enslaves you with philosophy and foolish deception, which conform to human traditions and the way the world thinks and acts rather than Christ. 9 All the fullness of deity lives in Christ’s body. 10 And you have been filled by him, who is the head of every ruler and authority.

First of all HAPPY FRIDAY to you all! I can say that because THIS is the day that the LORD has made and the devil doesn't own anything!!! Today we are walking in the peace and power of God, and no traditions, deceptions, or worldy perceptions are going to bind us today or ever! As Christians we encourage you to seize every opportunity to make your faith in God's power known today! As people are fearful of today because of the relentless efforts of the enemy, look for opportunities to share your faith! Let people know that Jesus rules and reigns everyday and that God has not given you a spirit of fear but love, power, and a sound mind. We HAVE BEEN given dominion and authority...use yours today and help people break free from the "false fears" that surround today and SHOW and TELL them all about the goodness of the LORD. For example, pay for somebody's gas and tell them Happy Friday the 13th because Jesus is LORD today and everyday!!! Make somebody's Friday the 13th the best day ever!!! We will, and we hope you will join us. (=

Internal Affairs

For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. Galatians 5:17
As you lead people to the LORD and/or disciple them let them know that the sinful actions that used to be easy for them, will NOW be a battle royale! That is why being filled with the Holy Spirit is so important. Holy Spirit guides us into all the truth of God. We never have to wonder what God thinks about something for any long period of time because Holy Spirit will tell us!!! Next, we see from the Scripture above that the Holy Spirit is NOT going to compromise, give in, or conform to the sinful nature. He is God the Spirit, and no matter how much we persist or want to do what we want to do, Holy Spirit is not co-signing anything we want unless God the Father approves. So we see that our sinful nature which is our mind, will, and emotions outside the will of God desires things that cause conflict. Why? So we don't do what WE want to. Notice....Holy Spirit desires for us what is contrary to our sinful nature. Every time we TRY to step out of God's will, the battle gets intense. That is when you start having some serious internal conflict and the peace of God leaves the temple! New believers often feel defeated and discouraged because some think when they accepted Christ they become untouchable! Meaning they won't be affected by temptation or anger etc....then when they give in to the old nature they don't "feel" Saved, and they want to denounce Christ. That is where we come into the picture, and we let them know that there is a battle going on, and the more they yield to God's Word and Spirit the more victorious, strong, and mature they will become. The conflict although heavy at times should also bring comfort. ??? Because if you or I were in a very bad place spiritually speaking there would be no conflict, just straight up sinning and darkness WITHOUT the conviction of God's Spirit. Internal conflict is great...no internal conflict is bad.

Recognizing the Divine in YOU

Mark 6:53-56
53 When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret and anchored there. 54 And when they came out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, 55 ran through that whole surrounding region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was. 56 Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well.

The passage above is long, but worth the time to memorize and meditate on. I believe if you let it work IN you-- it will change the way you look at youself, your faith, your Pastors, and your responsibility as a Christian.

Let's consider that these villagers recognized Jesus, and then brought those that needed deliverance, help, healing etc... to Him. It is said that they begged Him just to be able to touch the hem of His garment. So many times we think if so and so would just come to church I know that they would get Saved or even healed!!! Surely they would recognize God and as the Word is being preached, the Holy Ghost would convict them and so when the altar call is made---they will get Saved, healed etc... What I want to challenge you to see today is as a Christian-- God now lives INSIDE of you, and wherever you go--HE GOES!!!!! The problem is sometimes we look at those called to five fold ministry as the "special ones." They are the only ones who can lead people to Christ or lay hands on folk, but that is NOT true. If you are truly born again --the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now resides on the inside of you! The same works that Jesus did you CAN do too. Sometimes we recognize Jesus in everybody else, but we fail sometimes to recognize Him IN us. As many as touched Him were made whole. Don't you want wholeness for those around you? I know I do! Recognize WHO lives in you and others will recognize Him, have faith, and receive from Him too (-:

Don't Get Twisted

No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who has chosen him to be a soldier. 2 Timothy 2:4

In this life - some things come at us hard and fast. Situations arise all around us at times, and it seems we are having to constantly put fires out. THIS is life on a fallen planet as a saint or sinner BUT Christ has made us MORE than conquerors!!! We have to keep moving in prayer, fasting, fellowship, and devotional time. The hardest target to hit is a moving one! Don't get wrapped up or twisted up in the affairs of this life, THAT will make you an easy target! No! WE have been called into the greatest kingdom that ever existed, and WE are called to fight the good fight of faith! When you lead someone to Christ this week, let them know they are in the LORD'S Army now,and WE fight by faith that we may please Him.

Have a GREAT week ahead and remember YOU have been chosen>>>FIGHT!!!

Who Gave YOU the Right....?

Blessed are those that do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates of the city. Revelation 22:14

As this Scripture has rolled around in me this week, I thought about our "rights." Currently, we have the right to bear arms, to speak freely, and to be free. I thank God for all these rights as a citizen of these great United States. Now, through the blood of the Lamb, we have also been given rights in God's kingdom as well. We have the right to pray, heal the sick, cast out demons, and access God's throne in the name of Jesus. Here though is one similarity of rights in both kingdoms--we have the right to obey or disobey. Depending on what we chose to DO, we will either experience life or death. Blessings or curses. As you witness/disciple this week, let them know that their choice to accept Christ has given them many rights. Let them know that as they DO His commandments-- they will eat eternal fruit, and receive a warm welcome through the gates of the city of the Holy One. Who has given us the right to life on earth and life in Heaven? God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ! Enjoy them all!!! (-:

The Original Thirst Quencher

In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink. He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) John 7:2,37-39

It seems no matter who we have in our lives and no matter how many toys we possess we still end up thirsty. We can marry the man of our dreams, have well mannered kids, the best job, house, car, friends, etc...you get the picture, yet at the end of the day, we are thirsty. Why? Because we are wired to be watered by our Creator. Only God satisfies the thirsty, battle weary, pilgrim passing through soul.  Since God and Jesus are on the throne-- the Comforter, the Holy Ghost who is a PERSON, and not an it, was sent. Jesus is all about empowering His followers- He didn't say out My belly shall flow for you- the rivers of living water. He said instead that He's going to give Him to us. As you share Christ and or disciple this week, don't forget to tell them about the Holy Ghost. They will NEED Him as they continue on this journey in a dry, and parched land.

The Flower Fades

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
Isaiah 40:8

The flower fades. There are many things in this world that fade right? Hair color, jeans, paint, etc... Sometimes jobs fade away and without any solid work put into them, relationships can fade away. If you do not pay your bills on time, your credit will fade away too! My point? Whether things are created by God or created by man all things have the ability to fade away; because there is nothing permanent on this earth. Businesses come and go, people come and go, things come and go, but there is one person--Jesus Christ the WORD made flesh that will never fade away. As you witness and disciple this coming up week, let them know that in these times where people's values are fading away, economic and personal security in systems are fading away; they can stand on Jesus and trust in His Word that will abide forever.

A LIVELY Hope!

Blessed be the God and Father of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I Peter 1:3
Can I give God thanks for helping me memorize this one just today. Today...whew!!! I saw my son's health deteriorate before my eyes. He was struggling to breathe and was in intense pain, yet I KNEW God wanted me to fight, and fight I did. How could I fight though? Where did I get the strength to fight-- by remembering and applying the victory God gave me when He raised Jesus from the dead. Also, the saints were praying!!!!! Because they have a LIVING HOPE they could intercede and fight for my baby boy too, and fight they did!!!! As Christians we have available to us a LIVING HOPE. It's not dead because Jesus is not dead--He's alive!!! In the space of almost 3 hours I saw my son's health improve drastically without any medication. So as you share Jesus this week and disciple someone, let them know that no matter what their situation may look like--they can believe and receive Jesus- and all the benefits of knowing Him--the greatest one being a LIVING HOPE. Let them know they can walk in it and war with that LIVING HOPE and secure the victory that Jesus already provided. No need to fear or be ashamed any longer because HOPE IS ALIVE!!!

Convert Them to Christ

Matthew 18:3

Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Strong words from the Son of God right?! Well, He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and He alone knows what the Father will and will not allow in His kingdom. Little children may whine sometimes, and they may make some messes too, but they are pure in their heart motives. They are not vindictive, and they do not hold grudges. However, out of all the beautiful quailities little kids possess, their ability to trust their parents is the greatest one of all. Help someone be converted to Christ and disciple them into Christlikeness and childlikeness.

Keep Running

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

Our memory verse this week is a verse that should be IN us real good. It is a verse that speaks of being encouraged by those that are living the life of faith. Their life of faith is a light that not only encourages but reveals....sin. Sin does so much damage and a life full of it will eventually lead to death. Take the weight off, that sin that keeps luring you back, so you can run with the faith-filled. Running takes discipline. Running takes effort. I know some of us thought we'd just give our lives to the LORD, and the rest is on Him. No, God does His part in sanctifying us, and we must do our part to run the race He has set before us. This week encourage another believer to keep running. Encourage someone to come to Christ, and let them know that you will be right there to run with them. This is the greatest race ever...encourage someone to run to win.

Be Like The Good Shepherd

I'am the good Shepherd:the good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep. John 10:11

Do you remember where YOU were when Jesus pursued you? Some of us were in the bar and heard the voice of God calling us. Some of us were laid up somewhere with a bottle and a somebody that did not belong to us, and the LORD said,"come." Some of us were at death's doors, and the LORD came in, and rescued us. Just like the picture above we as Christians are supposed to go and "rescue the perishing." Jesus NEVER told us to just sit around and advertise from our comfy spots. He said GO to the highways and hedges and compel them to come. Where would you still be if Jesus had not actively sought you out? Whether you heard a voice or one of God's ambassadors introduced you to the LORD, we have to go and get them. Only God knows where we'd be right now....please make a decision today to go and pursue the lost. Jesus gave His all so as many as call on the name of the LORD shall be saved....He did not intend for us to get "ours" and forget the rest of the world, after we were converted. Do for others, what Christ has done for you.

Love- It's Easier Said than Done

"Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love."-Jeremiah 31:3

It has been sung, " love is a many splendid thing." Oh and it is-- isn't it?! YES INDEED! The warm fuzzies, the lavish gifts, the great times together! The feeling that you are important to whomever and that there is NOTHING that will separate you. Oh but then something(s) happen --which if you know like I know--always expect the enemy to try destroy a good thing, a God thing, and a right thing. Do you remember how that felt when the person just stopped acknowledging you? Remember the pain??? Real love will make you cry saints, but God doesn't excuse us from doing right--even in our tears or fears.

Now, think about how the Father loves. He tells us clearly what He likes and doesn't like and yet we do what we want to, and if we are not careful we will ultimatley reject Him, walk away, and abandon Him. Next thing we know the devil has taken us captive! Question. Could we handle it if God treated us the way we treat one another? Could we handle His disappointment or anger in our lovelessness. I don't think so. So here is the challenge as you share Christ today, prepare to disciple that person in the ways of love. We are taught and trained well regarding sin and the devil when we first come to the LORD, but love God's way isn't always taught or displayed well in some places. If we are going to share Jesus we NEED to learn to love like He commands. Is it easy, not at all. My dad says, "that is what separates adults from children, adults DO hard things." My co-Pastor Nakia posted once, " Excuses are for the uncommitted." Will you commit to loving and forgiving like God does today and beyond?? Those that you lead to Christ and those around you will be thankful and blessed if you DO (-:
