Jesus is Uniting the Body for ADVANCEMENT!

And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers. His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church),
That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [[b]full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him. Ephesians 4:11-13

Yesterday I had the distinct pleasure of being apart of History. Yesterday two denominations merged in Christ's Body- Southern Baptists and Pentecostals here in Virginia, and it was GLORIOUS!!! It was truly the hand of God. There has never been anything like this done in our area before, an area that has had a strong demonic presence in the area of racism for hundreds of years. As I looked out from the platform during praise and worship it looked like Heaven to me! Beautiful hues of black and white saints, traditional and contemporary ways and ideas worshiping and uniting under the banner of Christ. But why? Why would two denominations do that? Why would two denominations just accept one another's differences to unite? Why would one church that was predominantly Caucasian with members mostly 60+ years in age unite with another church of African Americans, that are from a younger generation??? One word-- SOULS!!! In the words of our Bishop, "We are one generation, being knit to another generation, to help SAVE A GENERATION!
These two churches choosing to be obedient to God's Word and leading have decided to grow together in their knowledge of Christ to advance the Kingdom of God. HALLELUJAH!!!! That's real KINGDOM MOVEMENT right there.
I believe that this is only the beginning of what God is desiring and is beginning to do across the earth--joining all the parts of the true Body of Christ together! The harvest is plentiful, the laborers few, BUT GOD! His will, WILL be done in the earth and it's going to take the Body coming together... to accomplish it. Are you ready??!!(-:

Beyond Reach

A psalm of David. The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him. Psalm 24:1


As our evangelism team from church went out this past Saturday for a prayer walk armed with the Word, love, and invite cards to our church's expansion service we encountered so many "No Trespassing" signs. As our hearts ached to go beyond the signs to the souls, I thought about how accessible God is, and how grateful I'am that He is. I was saddened that we couldn't get to the people beyond the signs,but I was encouraged as I remembered these two things, THIS beautiful blue planet belongs to God and He will always get the Gospel to the people one way or another. Secondly, the Bible says, "Whosoever calls on the name of the LORD SHALL be saved." Acts 2:21
I want to encourage you to get involved with your church's outreach team, it's a great way to go out with support and it's such an honor to present Jesus to the world. Loving total strangers enough to share Christ is like the greatest event to be apart of in the world!!! It is true that man puts up walls, signs, restrictions, and seemingly insurmountable road blocks to try and hinder God's love from reaching the lost, BUT GOD! THIS is His world, and His Gospel cannot be chained or stopped by man, will you let Him work with and through you to take the Gospel to the lost? He needs us....LET'S GO!!!
