For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.
God Afternoon! As we go into this verse I want to give this definition.
LAW:
1. binding or enforceable rule: a rule of conduct or procedure recognized by a community as binding or enforceable by authority
2. piece of legislation: an act passed by a legislature or similar body
3. legal system: the body or system of rules recognized by a community that are enforceable by established process
As Disciples of the LORD JESUS CHRIST we being IN Christ, in the Vine, in the Lamb's Book of Life, we are now subject happily to a new law. The law of the King and His kingdom.
No longer are we bound to the law which wcould only guide and teach us, but could not empower you inwardly to keep all of it. No longer are we bound to the dictates of this sinful nature. WE are no longer slaves to sin but to righteousness. We can choose to sin, we are no longer slaves to it...and as slaves to righteousness we don't just sit around and think of ways to sin. We usually fail in one of the areas of the fruit of the Spirit and sin. Satan does not control us anymore. We are truly new creatures in Christ. We have been FREED!!!!!
We have been freed from the law of sin and death. FREED, no more chains holding me!!! FREED by the Spirit that brings liberty. Where the Spirit of the LORD is THERE is liberty. Liberty. That is what the law of the Spirit brings, liberty to love, liberty to forgive, liberty to walk in victory, liberty to come into the Presence of God....Jesus has done SO MUCH. FREEDOM our military fights and dies for us to live in continual freedom. They fight in the natural and I'm thankful. Jesus fought in both realms to free us internally and eternally. No more slavery, no more guilt and shame. FREE to repent, serve, love and live (-:
