But Jesus said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go (enter) into peace [ in freedom from all the distresses that are experienced as the result of sin].
God Morning Fam!!! I pray as we go over this verse a little more in detail that our LORD and Savior will be high and lifted up. The first thing that blessed me about this verse was that Jesus said...He didn't send one of the apostles to communicate for Him, He talked to her directly. We don't ever need to chase after a Word from the LORD, He speaks daily to us in His Word and in our quiet time. We don't need to go see Bro. or Sis. so and so who is coming through town, for God to speak to us. Jesus is well able to communicate to us, all we have to do is listen. Next He's speaking to the woman, a WOMAN. Glory to GOD. God doesn't care about your color or your gender, He died for everybody. In some countries women are treated so poorly....in God's kingdom they are treated like the Princesses they are. Here was a princess who washed Jesus' feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. She gave her all, she truly humbled herself and she kissed the feet of the King of Kings continually and He let her. Her motives were 100% good otherwise I'm sure Jesus would have stopped her. That is the beauty of pure worship....God knows, He receives it and then He reciprocates. He tells her in verses 47 and 48 "Thy sins are forgiven." OH Hallelujah!!!! Jesus is saying I hold nothing against you dear woman, yes your sins were many, but My mercy is greater!!! Notice, the woman never tried to defend herself, when God tells you about yourself the best thing to do is just receive it and just worship Him. Just let Him keep talking.
Now that Jesus has taken His seat at the Father's right hand, He has commissioned us to tell of His cost paid on the cross. While we share His story, His Spirit will draw that lost soul, or wayward saint. Yes Jesus still speaks. His Word- The Bible is alive, and His Spirit still tells us what we need to know. Even when we mess up, when we repent Jesus speaks, thy sins have been forgiven.
